models of collaboration

Collaboration among partners normally runs smoothly.

Experience indicates, however, that it is important that all partners make their conditions and expectations known to one another before the partnership gets underway.

Typical models of collaboration are:

I. Commercial or commissioned tasks

Projects are financed at cost price by the company, for which specific tasks are performed in return.

  • Publication can only take place with the consent of the company.

II. Joint projects

Projects are co-financed by the company and the research institution. The projects must have a scientific interest for the public research institution.

  • The research institution has the right to publish the results.

III. Sponsorship

The research is paid for by the company, which has a strategic interest in the collaboration.

  • The research institution has the right to publish the results.
